Default F/S black Maglite rechargeable modified for 951 lumens

For Sale: Black Maglite 3 "D" rechargeable modified for 951 lumens

The Maglite is the "host;" all the innards are changed or modified to run a superbulb. That make this one flashlight the most powerful in the world in regular round flashlight configuration.

Contenders:
Surefire M-6 (six- 123 batteries)
$400 500 lumens

Surefire Dominator $500 500 lumens

These are the contenders that you can buy over the counter, but this ultra super maglite that I am selling is a custom product. Will run for 27 minutes producing 951 lumens driven by a power source of 9 Nimh rechargeable batteries optimized for high current delivery.
The maglite stock reflector, which is plastic, (and will melt) has been replaced by a solid thick walled aluminum reflector . Others parts that can melt when submitted to the heat of the superbulb have been replaced with custom parts.
One spare superbulb is stored in the tailcap.

Advantages of the Maglite "host": If you damage the exterior of the flashlight, you always can get another host in Home Depot or Wal-Mart for less than $20.00.
As it will look like any other Maglite, the trick is to keep an straight face when you say "I don"t know why yours is not that bright, I also got mine in Wal-Mart!!!"

Uses: LEO, Firefighters, Swat, self defense, tactical shooting, and you can throw away your spotlight!!

Price $200.00 with a 10 bay recharger, or if you don"t need recharger $165.00 shipped USPS Priority mail with delivery confirmation, Payment by Pay-Pal, or Money Order, If you use Credit Card Pay-Pal it is 3% more, to cover PP fees.
I have only two units at this time, so post in here first with "I"ll take it" and p.m. me for my Pay-Pal address or mail address.

regards

Default RE: F/S black Maglite rechargeable modified for 951 lumens

O.K., guys, the two black Ultra Super Maglites are sold, but the good news is that I have been able to make 3 more, a black, one in blue and another in silver.
Here is a picture of one mounted on a rifle. The range according to my Beta tester was 250 yards. He was able to illuminate a coyote at that distance, that he missed the shot was not a fault of the Ultra Super Maglite.
Now, is any other light in the planet that can be mounted in a gun and reach 250 yards?
Not even the fabled Surefire M-6 can do that, and that light and the Dominator at 500 lumens are well below the 951 lumens of the Ultra Super Maglite.

Here are two pictures against a house at 50 yards, the first shows the beam of a regular Maglite 3 D, the second picture is the beam of the Ultra Super.

If you want a particular color of the three I have, hurry up to post "I"ll take it" and mention the color.
Payment instruction as per my first post.

Regards

Default RE: F/S black Maglite rechargeable modified for 951 lumens

Guys, I have some explanations.
I don't want this light to be confused with the old version of the Mag85 and even some newer versions.
The original Mag85 is a Maglite 2 "D" running 8 batteries for a voltage of 9.6 volts.
Then there is the version using 9 Nimhs batteries on Electrolumens old adaptors (that had a lot of internal resistance) so the bulb never saw much of an improvement over the 9.6 volts.
Now, when this bulb (the 1185) is run at 9.6 volts, it is producing (for the bare bulb) 807 lumens.
When we factor the 23% losses thru the reflector hole and reflection thru the lens you get the figure of 622 lumens (torch lumens).

Now this figure of 622 is very impressive as it is more than the powerful Surefire Guardian M-6 can give you.

Now, my light is using 9 Nimhs High Current batteries, HIGH CURRENT is not the same thing as high capacity. The capacity is the amount of mah that is stored; consumer grade batteries with high capacity will not last long in this light nor can they power it with the brilliance that my HIGH CURRENT batteries do.
I am using the latest version of HIGHLY IMPROVED with almost no resistance version III adaptors.
Consequently the bulb gets the benefits of all the voltage and high current.
So, the bulb is getting now 10.8 VOLTS!!!
That translates to 1234 "bulb" lumens, when we FACTOR the 23% of lumens loss thru reflector hole and glass reflection, we get 951 lumens!!!!!!

So I am calling this light "modified for 951 lumens"
This is the most powerful flashlight in the world at the moment!!!

Having the Maglite 3 D as the "HOST" is a very smart move as if you damaged the "host" you can get a new "host" for $20.00 at Home Depot or Wal-Mart and transfer the parts.

I have overextended myself in buying parts because I was expecting a bigger turn-out, so now I have to recuperate some of my investment for I am in need of cash, AND FOR A LIMITED TIME I AM LETTING THE LIGHT GO FOR $165.00

So, I can build you one in a couple of hours, just tell me your color choice and if you want maximum focus (spot) medium flood or large flood type of light and I will adjust the bulb position in the heavy walled solid aluminum reflector.
You are getting an extra superbulb stored in the tail-cap under the spring.
You can recharge these batteries with any recharger for Nimhs batteries such as the ones used for digital cameras, or I can sell you one "dedicated" charger with 10 bays (ten charging slot for 10 batteries) for $35.00.

So guys, get out of the dark, and come to "see the light."
Blind your opponent before kicking his gluteus maximum.
Set up your fellow camper and make him shine his regular Maglite, then...YOURS.
Go out have fun, be the first kid in the block with this technology marvel.

Thank you for looking and reading my ramblings.
Best regards,
white bear
