Anyone else hunt with a Ghillie suit? Ive Bow hunted with a Ghillie for years & Ide have to say, its a permanent part of my set-up. Its completely eleminated my need for a blind & I also use it in my stand. Its also very warm & the burlap & jute have a very earthy odor that seems to cover alot of my human scent.
This one here was hand made 3 summers ago. I bought a set of Surplus Gortex Overs & attached cargo-netting to the gortex with a heavy fishing line & a sewing needle. Then I tied the jute & burlap to the netting. It took a few hours(25hrs) to finish but it was worth it.
I used a black Gortex Jacket & a Camo Boonie hat for my base on this one. It should hold up really well for a couple seasons. Also looks great with my gortex duck hunting pants. Im itchin to get it in the CRP for a hunt.
