Default Kenetrek 400

I am considering buying a pair of Kenetrek 400 mountain extreme boots for an upcoming elk hunt in mid Oct in Wy. No way to predict the weather but I'm just trying to get a feel if these boots will be warm enough and how they compare to Lowa boots.

Does anyone have a pair that can give an idea on how they work in cold weather.

I will also have a pair of pack boots should we see snow although they're not the best for a lot of walking.

Any info on these boots is appreciated.

I live in SE Wyoming and have an employee who bought a pair of these. Durrable as heck, can't hardly hurt them. His only complaint and one I've read a lot is that they leak. No GoreTex and leather will only keep you dry for so long. He has gotten wet feet from both snow and creek crossings. If I'm paying that much for boots they damn sure better keep me dry too. I use Cabelas line of boots made by Meindel and they have been the best things I've ever put on my feet.
