For some easy to follow plans on a fairly economical ladder stand ($60-80) that has a nice 42" wide base with a swiveling seat, go to http://www.freedeerstandplans.com/. The stand breaks down so it will fit inside a full-sized truck topper or van for transport. I have built a few of these. The stand is from 10' to 15' high.
