Default Used gun safe

I'm in the market for agun safe.....and I don't know why I wouldn't take a used one. Is there a good market for these? Do people get rid of them?

I would suspect, due to their weight, that I should look regionally.

Any ideas?

I would definitely say that if you're looking for a used one, prepare to drive for it. Shipping would probably be ridiculously high.

On the other hand, check WalMart. They had two that were under $300 the last time I was debating getting one. Pretty nice by the looks of them, however, I'm not a gun safe expert. I ended up setting up the closet in my office as a locked gun storage area - but it's not waterproof, fireproof, etc.

GM check the auctions and estate sales in your local paper. I have 2 friends that scored on Browning safes that way. Bring about 7 of your close friends and a trailer and you are good. Good luck!

There is an auction by me this weekend on a Sport shop that went under. I am in PA, if that helps you I can send you the address and you can see what they have. PM me if you are close.
