Default Redfield Scopes

Has anyone seen or handled any of the new Redfield's with the apochromatic lenses? If so, what are your opinions. I have seen that they have 4" of constant eye relief and a 5X magnification range. I know they are owned by Meade which in turn owns Simmons & Weaver. I was told by a local dealer who handles Simmons & Weaver that Meade is using Simmons as their base brand with Weaver 2nd and the new Redfields will be pit against the Leupold VX-III and Nikon Monarch series of scopes.
