Default Leupold Rifleman 4x12x40

Anyone have the new Leupold 4x12x40 out there. I just picked up a Savage Model 11 in 22-250 real cheap and need to put some glass on it. I want to use it for a groudhog carry gun and a coyote gun. So a lot of my shooting will be in the evenings. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a scope but I like the Leupold products. If you have one let me know what you think.
Thanks

Default RE: Leupold Rifleman 4x12x40

I have the rifleman 2x7 on my 7600 in 35 Whelen and a VXII on my FN mauser. I can't see any difference in clarity or light transmission between the two. Dawn and dusk shooting should be no problem. On my varmint gun I have an elite 3200 and am very happy with it. All things being equal the rifleman is a decent choice.
