I'd spend a little more and get the Banner or Legend.

The sportsman is a very cheap scope that comes with some of the low priced gun packages.I agree with spending a little more and at least move up to the banner.

Had the Sportsman come with a 30-06 I bought a while back, blew the recticle apart on it real fast. I have the Trophy on a .308 and for the price its a decent scope and far superior to the Sportsman

Every company has their bottom end items, and for Bushnell, it's the Sportsman. To make a cheap scope, you can bet they make a lot of sacrifices. As others have said, the Trophy, Banner, Legend, and Elite are better. Critical reviews always seem to support these models as good bang for the buck scopes.

I was gonna buy one to put on my 6.5x55 Swed and the sales guy at SIR told me it wouldn't stand up to the recoil of it.
