i am thinking about buying a ka-bar stacked leather handle hunting knives. I was wondering if anyone has ever had one of these and if they have, how you liked it.

Well since you had 27hits on this topic with no response i would assume its safe to say that no one knows about k-bar(knife browning automatic rifle). They are the traditional knives of my beloved corps..........the U.S. MARINE CORPS THAT IS!! Great knife, very dependable and strong. Get one!

gogiggen, Outstanding knife. They are a bit on the big side. Make sure you look it over well. If it has U.S. UTICA CUT.CO. on the left side of the blade just before the guard, you have the real deal. Many can be purchased at a gun show or military surplus store. There are a good many junk knives being sold as K-BAR. These manufactures think the K-BAR stands for Kawasaki BAR and grill.

seeing as how I'm from Olean (the original home of K-BAR) I think they are damn near impossible to beat

i have a ka-bar knife and it works great. aint had to sharpen it yet. i like the small compact size with the gut hook. one of the few made. most knives with a hook are all long and i dont like that when im walking up hills. the sheth [sp] always jabs into my side on the long knives
