Default Tips on preventing glasses from fogging?

Hey guys and gals. I have been running into a problem lately when hunting on cold mornings and using a face mask to keep warm. My glasses are constantly fogging up. I have tried rainx anti fog, but it really does not work that well. Just curious as to any tips you might have to prevent this problem.

Thanks,
cahillnnc

I used to have that problem.

One thing is use scent free liquid saop.

You put it on and just wipe it off.

No water just wipe it off with a paper towl.

Try that I used to use dish soap but it has a smell.

Now I just wear contacts.

That fixed it for me also the glare part.

Good Luck

The liquid soap trick does work but DO NOT USE A PAPER TOWEL. Use a soft clean cotton cloth to wipe the soap off. The paper towel will scratch plastic lens (which most spectacles are made of nowadays). The scratches can ruin a pair of eyeglasses easily and quickly.

The soap trick worked like a charm this morning.

I don't have glasses so my idea might not work all that great but I have a plastic visor on my Hockey helmet and when i play on natural ice the visor fogs up real bad. To fix the problem the boys and i take shampoo and rub it on our visors then wipe it off. I guess its the same concept as the soap idea, works for us.

I caught my wife watching (not me - I was passing thru or something!) a show called "How Clean Is Your House?" last night. The show with the two obnoxious English cleaning women - if you know what I'm talking about. She catches some guy shaving in a steamed up mirror and shows him how wipe the shaving cream (not gel) all over the mirror and wipe it off with a towel. Then she puts a clothes steamer on the mirror and it magically stays steam free. She said after a few weeks when it wears off it will have to be re-applied.

Try it and see how it works for you. If it does the trick you will now have a bigger problem. HOW DO YOU GET THOSE STUPID ENGLISH CLEANING LADIES OUT OF YOUR HEAD WHEN YOU"RE HUNTING?!?!?!?!?!? AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

You just know you're gonna snicker abit when you're out there.

And it was my wife watching it - not me!
