which loads 454?

I have a new 454 ruger (short) for deer hunting, anyone have info on ballistics on different grain shells? Mfg's? Looking for recommendations on what to buy???????? Thanx

For deer full power loads are not realy needed , I now several guys that shoot the Winchester Super-X 250 gr hp at 1300 fps . This load is easyer on the ears and very accurate. The WINCHESTER 260 gr 1800 fps partition load shoots shoots great in my 7 1/2" Ruger SRH . The Hornady 240 gr at 2000 fps is hot and LOUD
I hate to tell you this but every gun shoots a little differently ,you will just have to buy several loads and shoot paper. Wear your ear plugs !!!!!!!!!!!!! After you get some brass and want to save some $$ , the 454 is easy to reload . I have settled on for deer 16.3 gr of HS-6 , Hornady 250 XTP ,Win. case and Rem 7 1/2 primer This load is 1375 fps from my gun and sub 2" at 100 yds and dosn't leave my ears ringing for days.
