Rubber boots would be ok for the early part of archery season but like stubblejumper mentioned, we wouldn"™t last the day with rubber boots in our weather conditions at -20 degrees..
I only wear rubber boots when I absolutely have to and this usually is only spring bear, early archery or sept elk season. I prefer a boot that offers more support and doesn't fatigue me when hoofing it!
i wouldn't bowhunt in anything but rubber boots. i wear uninsulated early season in ohio, i also have a pair of rocky 1000 gram rubber buckstalkers for dec. and jan.
