Default Leupold VX-III's Any Feedback

Anyone feel the VX-III's are that much better then the Vari-x III'S ? Anyone have problems with them ?

I can't tell any difference. But then again, my eyes suck nowadays.

Except for the finger adjustable turret knobs and faster focusing eye piece, no, I don't think they're a vast improvement over the Vari X-III. I ended up selling my VX III 3.5-10x40 after a couple of months as I was just underwhelmed by it. I think there are better options out there, primarily the Zeiss Conqest.

I have a 6.5x20x40efr vxiii and it appears to be nearly identical to my old 6.5x20x40efr varixiii.I was hoping that leupold would improve the varying eye relief throughout the power range but this has not happened.Since the scope is on my 22-250 varmint rifle though ,I normally only use 12 through 20 power and the eye relief does not change too much in this range.

So pretty much Leupolds advertising was BS..other then the finger adjustable adjustment knobs and the quick focus nothing is different..

The biggest problem is the floating eye relief. I went with the Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44 that has a fixed 3.5 " eye relief. I am told that Zeiss will offer a Conquest in 3.5-10x50 this fall.
