Finally made a scope decision / thanks for the help
Well, after stewing for a while and your input, I finally made a decision. I called leupold this morning and asked them to put a german # 4 crosshair in my VXII 2x7. They say it will help in low light and would get it back to me before my hunt. I hated putting anything else on my BLR81 .358 it is the perfect size scope. I only use this rifle for bear hunting and it gets used a lot.
I hope I didn't drive you guys crazy with all my scope question but this seemed the most economial way to go. That huge old back may be in trouble this Spring.
