How is the quality on these optics verses say a leupold VX II or Bushnell Elite 3200. Also what is the warranty like and customer service. Thanks for the help!!

I was impressed with the Weaver Grand Slam it was a very nice scope in all areas. I'd opt for the 3200 as I saw no real advantages over my 3200 to the Weaver. I haven't even looked at the VX II so can't comment on it but I will tell you I picked a 4200 over the Vari X II prior. I like Leupold a lot but never found there midgrades models previously to be worth the asking price, as such I have gone with other optics instead. That being said I have heard some good things about the new VX II. However both the grandslam and VX II actually go around the same price as the 4200 Elite up in canada that I have seen and I think this would a be pretty hard scope to beat (If eye relief isn't a huge concern, if it is go with the loopy!)

Customer service for both Leupold and Bushnell is rock solid, so wouldn't worry about either of these 2 companies. I am not sure about Weavers though, they do offer the lifetime warranty like the others.

I guess that is a heck of a price seeing they go for 420-450 USD that I have seen. Where did you buy it, if you don't mind me asking?

You'll be happy the 4200 is a nice scope. What are you mounting it on?

I bought the scope on Ebay from a guy in Ontario. I missed on an Elite 4200 that sold for $315 US by this guy and emailed to see if he had any more. He told me he he was'nt happy with the Elite 4200 going for $315 but would sell me one for $330 so I jumped on it. I have no idea how he can sell so cheap, thats over 100 less then Wholesale sports. Forget to say that Im mounting it on my stainless Tikka T3 lite 270wsm.

I've seen the 4200's at various websites for under $400. I even saw them right at $300 for a 2.5-10 x 40mm. I purchased the same with the firefly option for $340.
