i don't know if it can be used with muzzle but i used a cabelas laser borsight last weekend on myy 30-06 and five minutes later and with 3 shots i had half in groups (off a bench) at 100 yards.
best i have seen and saves on ammo.

I've had good luck with the Bushnell Bore sighter with the fixed sized adaptors. It comes with all the calibers from .17 - .50 and you can buy the expandable one for 12gauge and it will work with the muzzle loader.

Have a had a few bad expieriences with bore sighters. So I would say you are the best boresighter. Start at 25 yards ...get on paper...then keep moving out 50 , 75 then to 100yds.

has anybody had any experience with the laser boresighter that looks like a rifle shell? It looks like a great idea but I'd like to hear from somebody that has tried it out.

I haved used a bushnell boresighter for over 15 years and it has saved me a lot of ammo by getting me on the paper at 100 yards.I don't bother shooting at closer distances anymore.
Whats the most accurate boresighter???
