Default 2 man ladder stand

Used plenty of single ladder stands but I'm looking to purchase my 1st buddy stand. Anyone use one from Dicks Sporting Goods or Gander Mountain that they'd recommend? Or any other ones you'd recommend or ones to steer clear of?

I've bought three from Menards around this time of year (on clearance after hunting season). They are 18 footers and I think I got em for around $60. I actually just looked on their website and you can get em for $57 right now after rebate. Smoking deal. Tracker 18 foot two man ladder stand. Nothing special but no complaints, especially for the price.

Walmart had an Ameristep 2 man ladder stand. I bought two online in December. They were $88 each and free shipping.

Cabela's sells a Hawk double tree stand, I forget what it's called, but it's the most comfortable and spacious stand I have ever sat. The seats are like poolside patio chairs, super comfortable.

Only down side is the immense weight, but it's totally worth it to my wife and I. Just under $200, 18ft at the rail, and uber comfortable. We bought one last fall, i have already bought two more for next season, and sold the double stands I took down last wk. I try to normally avoid recommending products over others, but I can say I don't care to sit in any other ladder stand again after using this one.

No, that's not the one. The model we have are the Hawk Big Denali 2 man - it's glorious! Lot of parts to assemble and heavy (I use a block & tackle to hoist it into the tree), but it's SO COMFORTABLE, tons of space for my wife and I to hunt together. We put a skirt around the bottom and a homemade PVC & tarp cover over the top, almost like a tower blind leaning on a tree. I probably won't ever hunt from another type/brand of stand ever again.
