I picked one up to use this year. I' m going to give it a try during the rut and see how it works out. You can mimic the call with other products on the market but I like it' s simplicity.

I used one last year and called in a nice 11 pt. on opening morning. When I first saw this deer it was browsing and was heading in the opposite direction from me. The brush was too heavy for me to take a shot and if he had continued going away from me, I would not have gotten any opportunity to shoot him. I used the can call a few times and this deer turned around and headed back in my direction. Eventually he walked out into a shooting lane I had cleared and I shot him. I can' t say with 100% certainty, but I believe this deer changed direction and came back toward me because of this call. I' ll be using it again this year.

A guy on our lease swears by them. I' ll let you know after this season. Pretty cheap gamble to me, if nothing else it will make a nice hunting noveltie one day.

I tried it last year with no results . It also has an annoying habit of sticking in very low temps . Some of the sounds it produced sounded like ET was scouting for babes !

If you don' t mind throwin down $8-$10 bucks they do work. I have a can call that I' ve been successful with for the last 12 years or so. I bought it at our local 5 & 10 store for $2, no sense in paying extra for some camo, as a matter of fact I kinda like the picture of the cow on it lol.....good luck

Not sure about bucks, but I have seen does come running to the can. Make sense to me that if you call in does, there may be a buck following.....

I' ve used it now for two years and it does work. I' ve had bucks come into it when they are walking away in the opposite direction. It has turned them around and brought them right in. It seems to work real good in the pre rut when the bucks just get started on looking around for the does. I thought it was a gimmick until I used it.
Try it and good luck.

Mixed results here. Sometimes I have deer show an interest in it and other times they ignore it completely. Hopefully that will change with the rut coming up.
