Default Smelly camo burlap

Just bought a big 12' X 54'' sheet of realtree camo burlap from CTD.com, and boy does it smell un-natural. Im thinking of a few ways i could de-scent it a little bit, but i want some of your thoughts before i do anything.

Im afraid of just washing the entire sheet because it is burlap and im not sure how it will fare in the washing machine. I could just spray it with a whole bunch of scent killer, but that seems like a half-assed way of doing it. I would just let it air out overnight on the clothes line but its been raining all ****ing week.

what do u guys think?

oh as a side note i am going to be disassembling the entire sheet, thread by thread. I'm making a ghillie suit for some serious suburban hunting.

I would say spray it down with febreeze and hang it out later when the weather clears. After spraying it down, you could construct your suit then hang it out as well.
