crossbows are not fun too shoot,i would look at compound bow.
go to archery shop that has range.they wuill help you a lot.
forget crossbow, they are for old handicaped folks.
Go to a pro shop and talk with them. There are a lot of high quality compounds, for youngsters, out there but, getting something that fits her is the most important thing.
Most crossbows will be like most rifles where young shooters are concerned--too long of a stock.
If she hasn't been shooting before now, don't count on her being able to shoot an acceptable draw weight for deer right off the bat (maybe not till next year even).
