Default Any Honda Rancher Owners Out Here?

I am thinking about buying a 2003 Honda Rancher ES. They seem to be one of the hottest selling ATV' s on the market right now. Do any of you guys have any experience with them. Or for that matter, how about the electric shift? How reliable are they?
Thanks, frank

I owned one for a couple of years and several friends own them. They are very dependable and easy on fuel.I only sold mine in order to buy the rubicon because I wanted a larger engine and the automatic transmission for really heavy hauling and towing.I have no hesitations in recommending the rancher.

Stubble, did you have the standard trans, or the electric shift?
I am just wondering about how reliable and durable the electric shift is.
There is no question it WILL be a Honda for me though! I have been using an 18 year old Honda 3 wheeler. I am retiring it because of electrical problems, but the motor and drivetrain are still in great shape! I am just a little uncertain as to which one I want the standard shift or electric shift.
It looks like you get a lots more for 200 dollars with the ES, you also get a electronic dash board and full running boards too.
