First off let me say that I do not have any experience with the Open Shot. But I do have quite a bit with the Bushmaster. My first Summit climber was a steel Bushmaster. Great stand that was easy to pack(but was heavy), pretty darn comfortable, and was really secure in the tree. I sold that stand for an aluminum Viper when they came out. Recently, I bought a Bushmaster top section and use it when I do not want the front rail of the Viper.
For me it would boil down to comfort while on stand. If I'm not comfortable I get restless....and that is no good when you are deer hunting. IMO the Bushmaster seat looks as if it would be more comfortable and the extra platform size would be a plus.
