Good Gear for Carring in the woods for whitetail in the southeast
For rifle season what would be a good firearm single shot, bolt action, semi auto, AR-Style. Should i carry a back_up pistol if so what type,Kind what kind of knife. and other misc items i should pack Thank You for any Advice you may have...
I hunt almost exclusively in SE Alabama. My suggestion for a rifle .... bolt action. I prefer a compact rifle. My choice of cartridge 308 Win. I carry a medium sized fixed blade knife. As far as in my pack - usually too much cr@p! water and high cal snacks food, bug repellant wipes, wet wipes, alchohol wipes (wipe off sweat and great fire starter), folding limb saw and snippers, FRS radio, extra flashlight and AA batteries, GPS, compass and arial map of where I hunt, etc.
