alice packs

I need some help. I' ve got an alice pack that a friend gave me, I finally found some straps and a frame. I can' t get the straps on and I don' t know if I' ve got to use the frame or not. So how do I get the straps on and adjusted so that they fit comfortably. Thanks for any help you can give me on this subject.

Thanks for the help it worked! Now I just wonder how comfortable it will be with my coat on..
