Default Upland boots, how to repair?

I have a very well loved pair of upland boots that I got from Cabela's yrs ago. Without going into the details, I love these boots and will regret the day I must finally discard them so in the meantime, I was wondering if you might have a suggestion on how to extend the life. The nose/tip of the boots are protected with a durable strip of leather over the top of the boot itself but the laces and seams toward the front of the boot are really starting to show the age from briars and abrasive scrubs. In fact, the seam is starting to pull apart in one section where the leather is cut though the stitching is still ok.

Anyway, is there anything I can apply to the seams and stitching that would help provide protection and provide another yr or two of service? I don't wear them more than a few times a yr but the upland environment is certainly hard on them.
