What type of clothing do you prefer when hunting in cold weather conditions???

Me, I'll take wool everytime

with my wool sweaters in sub zero weather. Still have two useable hunting sweaters that are forty years old.

Incidentially, they were paid off forty years ago, and don't meet current prices for highly insulated advanced wear.

I know some folks are old school and prefer the tried/true materials but I'll take Under Armour all day long. It may seem overpriced but it's well worth it IMO. The material and technology that goes into these clothes is simply amazing. I use Under Armour in my every day life as well as hunting. They have a big market in the military and make uniform items. I use their green PT trunks, green skivvie shirts, underwear, boot socks, short white PT socks, and heat-gear shirts.

If you haven't tried it, you should. It's very comfortable and works as advertised.

Layers is were it's at !

Thinner the layers the better.

I wear under armour. Mostly because I had a long sleeve shirt from football. I will just throw it under my other layers and be good to go.
