Default Climbing Treestand suggestion

I'm a newer hunter who has tried a couple of tree stands, but have also seen a climbing treestand.

Any suggestions for a "best all round value" climbing tree stand? Looking for safety first, ease of use, portablity, etc.

Thanks

Randy

I have used the old Baker stands, Lone Wolf, API's, and Summits. I have always come back to the Summit Viper. For me it offers the best combination of portability, comfort, and safety.

Summit Viper all the way! Maybe a Goliath if you are over 300lbs. Light, Comforatable, faster to set up than some others and a great value for the money. I had a API and a cheaper steel wal mart special ($60 ten years ago).
Dont be cheap and buy a 35lb steel stand. Aluminum is much nicer to tote through the woods.
To me it is the most essential piece of hunting gear I own besides the weapon for hunting public land. I take naps in mine if I get out really early in the afternoon.

SAFETY FIRST...ALWAYS. I had great luck with Summit's.

Default Summit

summit viper is one most buy.BUT if you are over 6/1 with long legs and hunt in cold with heavy clothes on,i would not get viper.
I LIKE ROOM..........
goliath,180 max, titan is what i would look at.
if you like the OPEN FRONT top here is what i would do.you can call summit and they will give you a open front top on a big floor.it will cost you a little more because you are buying direct from them but i bet you could work deal out.

like having the OPEN SHOT top on a TITAN bottom.............sweat..
