Ran across these sites that deals with GPS. Full of good info and dispelled some common misconceptions like quad antennas are better than patch in canopy, reception based on the size and gain of the antenna (larger units have the larger antennas). One day brand A may get better reception than brand B, because satillites move the next time brand B may get the better reception (patch/helix). Also one GPS can interfere with another if they are too close. Parallel channel receivers are faster and more reliable; and the number of channels plays an important role in a GPS.
