wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, thats great answer considering that net is full of this stuff falling off.
i know problem but was hoping they would acknowledge it, they did not.
glue is not WATERPROOF OR OUTDOOR RESITANT.the surface of stands is SMOOTH.no way that glue is going to stick if its not a tough outside glue.cold/rain will affect this glue.
yours may just take a little longer. yes heat may have helped yours, i used hairdryer.some use propane torch to get skins hot enough.
but if the glue is not waterproof etc, it wont matter.
right now i am trying to find a WATERPROOF OUTSIDE glue that does not have smell.
i tried test of my outdoor carpet glue and it STINKS after drying.
so, if anyone knows of a outside non-stinky glue, i am interested.
thanks sproul

sproulman,
I had to find out for myself if Summit customer service had gotten to the point where they don't answer the phone any more. In the past I have always been pleased with the level of service I received. The number I called was on their website(256-353-0634). After listening to the computerized answering service, I selected the number for customer service. Almost immediately a female answered the phone. My wait time was approximately 30 seconds.
I explained to her your problem, as if it were mine. She spoke with "David"(who was the only tech there as the others were at a show) and he said the skin works much better if it is applied when the weather is warm. The phone conversation ended with me being offered a free set of Summit Skin. I declined and told her I wanted to try something else first but I may call back later.
As I stated in an earlier post, I personally know several people with Summit stands that don't have any problems with the Summit skin. I feel like if mine was not going to stick it would not have lasted through two hunting season.
Good luck to you sir.
