I bought a marlin .308 bolt action this summer. i'm looking for an ammo that is accurate, i'm not so worried about knock down power. was wondering what brand, grain, and style of tip some people would advise.

150 gr is about perfect for the 308, you will however need to buy several different loads to see which your gun likes best though. No one can tell you which will be the most accurate, only the gun can decide that.
