I was thinking about getting a new scope for my 30-06.Anybody have any thoughts on a company called vortex or I was even looking at simmons.Are they any good?I have a prostaff on it now but id like to have a higher power scope.
I have had Simmons Aetec 3x9 for years and it has never failed me.

On a budget? I just looked on Vortex site and the 3X9X40's run $399. If you want to try out a Simmons I have one I took off my new Savage mod. 111, It came as a package deal. It's the Simmons 3X9X40 8-point scope.
If I was gonna spend 3 or $400. I would go with a VX III Leupold.
Any good?
