Default UTV?

My dad is looking to buy a utv. He wants something with enough power to pull a trailer of firewood, Be small enough to fit through the woods, Some thing that is 4 wheel drive. And he wants something under 10,000. He was looking at a new gator 4x4. But any suggestions would be well appreitated.

Out of the countless number of UTVs out there today, Kubota would be one of the few that wouldn't fit your guidelines. The responses you are going to get are simply people telling to get what THEY think is the best, likely just because they own one. Go out and test drive every model you can and decide what you like best. They're all good machines, but everyone has their favorite.

I have a Mule, not Kubota..He said lots of power to haul a trailer load of wood. and they are not any wider than most of the other UTV's and last I checked they cost around $9,000. But they arn't that light and not much ground clearance.

Kubotas start at well over $10000 last time I priced them. All the extras they come with price them out of range for many of us.

I wasn't actually referring to you. In the past these posts just end up with people suggesting that what they own is the best. In the end every brand is recommended and the original poster is more confused than ever. I think the only way to make the right decision is to go try them all.

I agree, try them all. Ohio prices might be higher than Mich.

Just for the record on $$$ Kubota's, I found this add in November 2008 Woods N Waters.. New Kubota RTV starting at $7,950. 21.6 HP Kubota Diesel engine, Variable Hydro Trans., Power Steering, 4 wheel wet-type Disc Brakes, Payload capacity over 1600 lbs.Rosy Bros. Inc. Dryden, MI. 810-796-3007, and the Kawasaki Teryx LE 4X4 is $9,499. Rhino's $7,849 That's why it's better to check for your self

You're right, I completely forgot about the RTV 500. Much more reasonable in price than the 900 and 1100.
