Default Vortex Razor 10x50 Binocular

I am looking into getting some new binoculars for my elk hunt in NM this Sept. and I did some comparisions between Vortex, Zeiss, Swarovski. Do my surpirsed it blew the Zeiss away and was the same or better than the Swarovski's for almost half the price. Anyone using or have any opinion on Vortex? Thanks Bill

Bill, alot of people have nothing but good things to say about vortex. I am not one of them. I purchased a pair of vortex vipers, which had good glass, but would not stay focused right out of the box, sent them back for a refund. Then I purchased a pair of 6.5 x 32 vortex furys and the diopter would drift, so you could not focus those right.By the way all the 6.5 x 32 furys had this problem.I sent them back to vortex and they sent me a new pair, but the original pair I bought had a locking diopter, whichwas a big reason I purchased them, thereplacement pair they sent does not have this feature. The replacement pairdoes not have the features I paid for. I e-mailed vortex about this early last week and have not heard a word from them. I guess I will have to find time to call and see if that helps.

I used a pair of 10 x 42 Vipers last year for 12 days and had nothing but good to say. Almost bought the Razor but did not like the size. Friend has the 10 x 50 Vulture and likes them

I got some of the cheaper vortex binocs and I have been extremely happy with them.
