Default tree saddle?

i was woundering if anyone was using a tree saddle and if so how do they actually work? do you need to use tree climbig gear,or do you use screw in steps. and once you are up the tree what do you do with your feet?

I use climbers(footspikes) and simply walk up the tree then hook tree saddle strap over a limb crotch. I keep spikes on,rest my legs with them,and am able to "walk around tree" if I need to.

I only use a saddle for work, for hunting I prefer my Lone Wolf.
