Default waxed pants

Would like to know peoples input on waxed pants I am thinking about buy a pair. Do they do a good job on sheding water? Are they comfortable?

If you are talking Filson, They shed water aswell as as any rain gear and they are considerablely tougher. They do require periodic (every couple of years, depending on use) reapplication of wax waterproofing.

The ones I am looking at are Mcalister Wax pants. They have the bibs as well. I have a pair of chaps but i aways seem to still get wet in CRP grass I want something to keep me dry and warm.
