RE: delormes earthmate pn-20
I just bought one and have used it while out scouting a couple of times now. The ability to see where you are on an aerial photo as you move through the woods is huge. The only negative is that I wish the screen waslarger. When you're zoomed in enough to see detail, you're only looking at a small area and it's hard to tell where you are in relation to other landmarks, etc. When you zoom out to get a little more perspective, all the detail is lost. If the unit was more the size of a PDA with a PDA size screen, I think it would be easier to use. I find myself zooming in and out all the time to get the perspective that I'm looking for. Other than that, it's great. It gets a signal even under thick cover. Nothing has malfunctioned. I bought a 2 gig sd card for it which turned out to be way more than I needed. I have downloaded the photos for half a dozen public hunting areas around here and I've barely used up any of the space on the card and I've only used up about $20 worth of the credit they give you to buy the photos. So, I'm happy with the unit and very happy to be able to see where I'm at on an aerial photo. Hope that helps.
