I planted the Imperial whitetail clover, alfa-graze, and no plow. All three did well and have attracted deer. From my experience so far it will take a few years to get a new plot established. Get a soil test done for each plot location and lime/fertilize accordingly. I would recommend seeding a little heavier than the directions tell you if you expect the deer will use it alot. Lightly overseed each spring and fall along with lime and fertilizer. Good luck!!!

It has come back each year but I reseed anyway. We have really dry summers here and tend to lose some of it to drought. I use pulverized lime (like powder) but the pelletized works just as good. It's a little more expensive but is not as messy to put out. For fertilizer 0-20-20 or something real close to that works good. When I first plant I use 10-10-10 to give it a little nitrogen boost. Clover and alfalfa will produce it's own nitrogen once established. Thats where the 0-20-20 will come in. Hope I've helped.
