Default Trail camera power supply

I'm in the market for 2-3 cameras and wanted opinions on the battery style, 6 volt or D's,that delivers the best performance along with the best brand camera for the price. Thanks

Default RE: Trail camera power supply

I use a 6 volt gel cell rechargeable with a solar recharger panel. The dry cell 6 volts are ok, but I could never get much life out of them. The cheapest place I've found for the dry cell type was the Dollar Tree stores, they had them for just a dollar, everywhere else they were at least $2. .
