Default Binoculars

I'm hunting black bear in BC later this month. I need a pair of binoculars, but I have to watch the budget (the price of the hunt is already killing me). I am considering buying Steiner Military Marine 8x30 binoculars. They seem to get great reviews and the price ($199) is right.Any suggestions.

Thanks.

I don't have any experience with the Steiner line but if you've done your homework and have found lots of positive feedback then try a pair. I personally have tried many other optics from a much higher price range and wouldn't give up the Swarovski EL 8.5x42's for anything! One of the better "cheaper glass" models that I've ever tried were Nikon Monarch 8x42's. Good luck on your Bear hunt?

Have you looked at the Vortex Line of bino's? Great product at a great value with a lifetime warranty to boot.

lot of feedback on archeryrtalk.com (not sure if it ok to post this website)

I go by Jayhawk there.

Check out the Bushnell Legends in 8X32 power. Phase corrected and waterproof, complete with a lifetime warranty. For approx. $269.00, they are hard to beat!!
