Default Screw in tree steps

I have never owned or even used any screw-in tree steps, but was thinking of buying some for use with my climber stand as an on stand safety precaution, so was wondering if anyone had any recommendations?

Cranford EZY steps. I have been using these for years and have found them to start the easiest and they last.

So, do you use screw-in steps at all?

Nope! Don't need them!

I'm not sure how you plan to use them with a climber unless you are going to use the climber to install them. I've done that before. The only screw-in steps I've used are the Ameristeps they sell at WallyWorld. The best advise I can give you is to get a step installer. It takes about 80% of the work out of installing them. Take a bar of soap with you as well and lube the threads up, that helps a bunch. Be safe.

If you use screw in steps, I wholeheartedly recommend Cranford EZy climb steps as well. No need for soap or any type of screwin installers. Best steps on the market IMO.

I ended up buying a 12 pack of gorilla screw-in tree steps. They look very thick and sturdy. I wish to have them for two purposes. First in case I wish to use them with my hang-on stand, and more importantly to have a couple on hand in case while on stand in my climber I have the stand fall and I am left hanging by harness, so I can ready self.
