Default BASS PRO IS A RIP OFF

Is it just me, or does BPS mark up their merchandise 20-30% more than the competition? I have already had several situations where I have given them the oportunity to match the pricesat cabelas, sportsmansguide or midway and they have flat out refused...it's a shameb/c I like the convienience of going to the storenear my house but I think in the future I will go there to see/sample the product and then purchase it elsewhere...

Some of BPS prices are high for sure. I go over and get some stuff occassionally, but usually I find what I want online. Like Reb said... squeeze the Charmin there and then get it where ya want. Besides, BPS seems to have an addition for "made in China' stuff. Boo.

we used to do this to people at this sign shop i worked at. certain people would walk in and we'd kind of subtly announce "give 'em the double d" aka "douchebag discount" hehe

BassPro like all stores you have toknow your prices. I've gotten some super deals at BassPro. I've seen some there that were highway robbery.Search the web and see what everyone else getting for that particular item. You can usually save money doing a little homework. When BP runs a sale prices are fairly decent.

I went lookin for a nice fly rod my wife wanted to buy for me for graduating with a 3.65 (BSBA MANAGEMENT) well, I went to BPS and they had stuff Id never heard of. White river name brand. They did have some G loomis, but mostly white river. More expensive than a SAGE FLI and all made in china. So, I went and bought a SAGE made here in the old USA for LESS MONEY! I am glad I refrained from BPS. I as well only use them to examine products. EJ

I like Bass Pro, and agree with R-R! It is just like any other type of store, look at the local ads in tommorrows newspaper! One Supermarket will have some things cheaper, others will have different items cheaper! By the time you've made the rounds, the bottom line is pretty much the same!
