Tripod/Quad Stands

I am interested in a couple of tripod/Quad stands, such as the Apex. I have never used one before and was wondering the experience of others, as some of them out there look flimsey or unstable. Thanks ahead of time.

I have a 14 foot quad from Key Hunting Products. Rated for 500 lbs, weighs only 93 lbs and can be put together by yourself.
