Default fleece

Is there a differencein fleece? Will the fleece you buy at Walmart, Kmart, Farm and Fleet, Kohl's etc. etc... keep you as warm as the high dollar fleece when used as a base layer?

My experience is buy genuine Polartec. This stuff is great and not too expensive. Look at Cabelas on the web or in their catalog. They have tons of it. I don't buy the camo stuff because you don't need it for under layers. They have plenty in shades of greens, browns and black and these solid colors are a lot cheaper than the camo stuff and its the same as the camo only you are not paying royalties to Realtree or Mossyoak. I'll never buy the crap at KMart or Wallyworld again. Polartec has several weights for different weather conditions and they are all great and are well worth their price.

I've used your basic Wally World fleece with long johns and sat when it's been colder than -30 Celcius. I've never used the name brand stuff, so I can't compare. Just saying your Wally World stuff is probably just as good.
