Default search never works - looking 4 really warm hunting boots...

For whatever reason, I try to do a search on simply 'boots' and it says it can't find any records....go figure.

anyway, I hunt in Michigan's Upper Penninsula, and would like to find a better boot to keep my feet warm...I've got good socks/liner socks already, but the boots I have don't have much for keeping me warm and after a few hours, they're gettin numb and cold. I mainly hunt from a ground blind.

any recommendations on a good warm boot are appreciated.

US army surplus "mickey" or "bunny" boots kept the soldier's feet warm in the korean war where temps got -30. might want to try them. (they aren't comfortable for long treks tho)

IMO Lacrosse Iceman boots are the warmest boots you can find. Down side is they are pretty heavy.

I'll second the lacrosse iceman boots. When it gets really cold those are the boots I put on. Really cold being less the 10 degrees.

thanks everyone for their comments and feedback, I have decided on the Irish Setter Buck Tracker 1600 boots. Tried them on and they were very comfortable, and looked to be built with quality materials.

thanks HGS, definitely got the socks in line, a thin wicking sock, and a thicker merino wool pair....I should be pleasantly warm this season

its all about circulation, trapt air and leaving a little space in those boots. if your sitting slap some heat packs in there.
