Default Remington 300 Mag Hang on

I have two 300 mag hang ons on back order and waiting for a call to go pick them up. Has any one hunted from these or know anything about them? Basically, are they a solid reliable stand for bowhunting or did I waste my money?

I have one I bought last year from Bass Pro. It's a decent stand for the money, comfortable and solid. I added an extra cushion to the seat as the seat that comes with it is kinda thin.

I bought one of these last year before bow season. the stand is very comfortable and can be sat in for an extended time. I personally use it more for gun hunting but, I have used it for bow. If you like to stand when you shoot you will need to adjust the seat to where it is easier to get out of. I have mine low so I can recline more and be more comfortable. The only problem I have with it is, that it is harder to put up than my API's. I is heavy and can be awkward to handle. I get around this with a rope with a hook on it. I tie the rope around the tree above where I want the stand and have the hook hanging down to where I can let it hold the stand for me, then I strap it up and remove my rope and tighten the straps. I also recomend using a rachet strap to hold the bottom of the stand better. Mine slipped a little on me last year when I tried to get in it after it was installed. I had a rachet strap on the 4-wheeler and used it right at the bottom to help hold it. Worked like a dream. Good luck and happy hunting

I have the same stand and also used a rachet strap. One note, check all the bolts. When I hung the stand 2 weeks ago, I noticed one of the bolts missing from where the seat and paltform meet.
