I'm looking to get a few tower stands. I've seen The Blynd and Texas Hunting Products versions and they seem pretty good for the money, under $1000 each shipped to Kansas. What do you think? Thanks.
I say have it built locally, it will save you on shipping etc. Also, avoid fiberglass stands. They tend to break down in the elements quicker than metal stands.

If I was to build tower stands I would get free telephone poles that the utility companies get rid of and bury these and attach an enclosed platform to them. Rent an auger and go to town.
