Default Please Help!!! Need scope FAST!!

I am gonna buy a new rifle scope tomorrow. I have narrowed it down to a couple. I am in between the Burris Fullfield II 6.5-20x50 and Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x50 or the 4200 6-16x50. I have used many of Bushnell's cheaper scopes and have been pleased with them, but I am looking to get a little better scope. I don't want to spend over $450. Please help I have no experience with Burris. CHAD

The Burris and 3200 are pretty much the same optically, features and performance. However the 4200 is astep up interms of optical performance and gain. The biggest knock with4200 elite is weight, length and eye relief, of whichit isheavy, long and short in these areas. So in a heavy recoiler or on a gun your toting through the woods/hills it is something to consider. The 3200 and FFII are similar in stature but the 3200 has an edge in ER afforded.

I would personally go with one of the Elites. I have owned both with no problems. However your best to look through them and make that decision yourself.

Good Luck.

PS:
Just curious, is this for a varmit rifle? Why such high power, if not? Personally 10 power is more than plenty IMHO for a biggame scope and it opens up your options more with the budget you have set forth. I also like the ability todown to 3 or 4Xin the field as conditions/situations dictate.
Also have you ever owned or shot a 50mm scope? If not, why the 50MM objective? The reason I ask is this will require high mounts and may hamper your cheek placement/shooting ability! This should also be coinsidered IMO.

It is for a 270 Ruger. I had a Bushnell Dusk to dawn 6-18x50mm andliked the light gather'nand the high power. I do alot of long range shoot'n 300+ yds. I put my old scope on my .17 hrm and now need a new scope for rifle season. I think I am gonna go with the Elite 3200 5-15x50mm. I can get it for around $265. Thanks fo rthe replies. Chad
