I wouldn't say I know alot about them, but I have two. I have a Leaf River Digital (which is awesome), anda Moultrie Digital. I have hundreds of pics from my LR that are very clear. I've only used the Moultrie twice, and it seems to do an adequate job. I've also heard good things about the Cuddeback units. Just my two cents.

I have the a Leaf River Digital also, I love it. My hunting buddy has a Cuddeback and it's also a good camera. Both are very good cameras, both have had a few problems but the companies stand behind their products, Leaf River a little more so than the Cuddeback I feel. They both take clear good quality pictures. There are other cheaper cameras out there, but I feel these are both worth the price.

Do either the Leaf River or Cuddeback not have a visible flash or could someone recommend a digital without a visible flash?

Leaf River has an infrared camera. No flash if that's what you'll looking for, the pictures at night will be black and white. http://www.vibrashine.com/store/merchant.ihtml?id=3&step=2

I've never used one and don't know much about it yet but I'm sure it would meet your needs.

I couldn't tell you if the Cuddeback has infrared, if it doesn't I'm sure it will come out with one in the near future.

I've used seven so far and the one that I would recommend right now is the Woodland SpyCam.

You can go to the site below to see the reviews for the seven cameras and some pictures.

In that case I would ask you what resolution you are looking to get and basically what type of picture taking you are hoping to use it for. If you are just looking for something to take pics of game animals while you are out in the field then I would opt for something with at least 3 megapixels and preferably with an optical zoom of at least 6x. I bought a Fujifilm Finepix S3100 last spring for right around $200 at Walmart. Greater camera overall with very good printed picture quality.

Hope this helps somewhat.
