Only rain gear I have experience with is a Dry Plus version by Cabela's.I ended up using it a lot on a recent hunting trip because I liked it a lot whether it was raining or not. Mine is quiet, durable and I could rollup both the pants and jacket to fit into a small backpack.

Yep, Cabelas MT050 would be my choice as well if price is not an issue. Otherwise their Rain Suede is a good bargain.

I have the cabelas rainsuede and I really like it. Its very dry and comfortable. It comes in outfitter camo which works well in the western states.

Robertesq1,

I used the Cabelas MT050 bibs last year in Wyo, I found it to be noisy when the temperature dropped. I am doing my own thing this year. Instead of packing in a jacket and pants, I am making my own rain poncho made from waterproof camo fabric that I found.

Regards,

GS

I am a big Rivers West fan.Great quality and the quietest rain gear that I have come across. It would be good for the time of year you are talking about,in a warmer climate or in the early season it would be to warm.Quiet, and tough as nails. If you do a Rivers West search you will see their entire line.

I also use the Cabelas brand. Not sure what model it is but it is quiet, lightweight and has a lining so you dont sweat as much. I've been using it for 2 years now without any complaints. Took it along on a WY hun last year and glad I did.

Rocky Pro-Hunter Light Rainwear. Light, Breathes, Durable, Water and Wind Proof, also has great movement and very quiet. It will run $80 for pants and $90 for jacket. Best stuff around.
