Default Redfield Tracker

I have a Redfield Tracker- it reads 3X-9X
I am not familiar with these scopes.I really don't think they are high quality, but I am interested in hearing opinions about them and what kind of experiences you may have with them.
Thanks

IS THE LACK OF RESPONSES BECAUSE THE SCOPE IS A TOTAL PEICE OF JUNK , OR BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THEM? MY BROTHER IN LAW WANTS THE SCOPE AND I WAS CURIOUS WHAT TO TAKE IN TRADE.
ANY ADVISE IS HELPFULL.
THANKS

Is it a new scope? I have an old Redfield that I bought back in 1989. It was a pretty good scope but has seen its better days and I have taken it off the rifle it was on. Redfield was a good scope at one time, but I have heard the quality has gone down over the last few years.

NO, IT CAME ON A 30-06 I GOT IN A TRADE THAT HAS TO BE ATLEAST 8 YEARS OLD.I PUT A VAR.X2 ON THE GUN IN ITS PLACE. I AM NOT SURE HOW OFTEN I WILL SHOOT THAT RUGER, SO I DIDN'T WANT TO PUT TOO MUCH MONEY INTO THE SCOPE FOR IT. THAT LEUPOLD HAS TO BE BETTER THEN THAT TRACKER

I have one (2x7) on my Mod 70 '06. Think it was made around late 1980's. While the optics may not be superior quality, they are decent. It has always been a serviceable scope for me. Never had a problem. I would say it is much better than some of the lower end Tasco's, etc.
